Questions
Does my Mac need to stay on?
Yes — Termalink connects to your Mac's actual terminal, so it needs to be on, awake and online. Tip: in System Settings → Energy, turn on "Prevent automatic sleeping when the display is off."
What happens if I close the app or lose signal?
Nothing stops. Your commands keep running on your Mac, and when you reconnect you'll see everything they printed while you were away.
Can Termalink see what I type?
No. The connection is end-to-end encrypted with keys that exist only on your phone and your Mac. Our relay passes along data it can't read.
Do I need a VPN or port forwarding?
No. Your Mac connects out to the Termalink relay, and your phone meets it there — it works on any network, with nothing to set up.
What about Windows and Linux?
They're on the way. Termalink is built to run on all three, and the Mac version comes first.
Can I use more than one phone?
Not really. Only one phone can be connected to your Mac at a time. If another phone tries to connect, Termalink asks you to disconnect the first one.
