The short version

Termalink connects your iPhone to your own computer. Your terminal sessions are end-to-end encrypted, we can't read them, and we don't sell or share your data. There are no ads and no tracking.

What stays on your devices

On your iPhone: your computer's address, your open tabs and their names, your favorite commands, and the encryption key that identifies your phone (kept in the iOS Keychain).
On your computer: the Termalink settings folder holds your computer's encryption key, the list of phones you've paired, and each terminal's history — saved so your terminals can come back after a restart.

Deleting the app (or the settings folder) deletes this data.

Your terminal sessions

Everything you type and everything your computer sends back is encrypted on your devices before it leaves them. When you connect from outside your network, it passes through the Termalink relay, which forwards encrypted data it cannot read. We don't store it.

What the relay can see

To connect your phone to the right computer, the relay handles some technical information: IP addresses, an account identifier linking your phone to your computer, and when and how much data is sent. We use this only to run and protect the service, and we don't keep logs of it longer than needed for that.

Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. When subscriptions launch, we'll use a subscription service (RevenueCat) to know whether your subscription is active. We never see your payment details.

App updates

The iPhone app checks for updates when it opens, using Expo's update service. That check includes basic technical information (IP address, app version, platform) — never your terminal content.

This website

This site doesn't use cookies, analytics or trackers. Our hosting provider (Netlify) keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested.

Children

Termalink is not directed at children under 13.
